Through its affiliation with Columbia University, our New Jersey Cardiovascular Institute (NJCI) offers a range of care that only an academic medical center can support. From standard treatment options to research protocols, our nursing professionals are participating in the gold standard of cardiac care.

Coronary Care Unit (CCU) – I-Yellow 2 :
15-bed unit providing adult intensive nursing care. patients admitted to the unit are those with cardiac diagnoses, including post-op cardiac surgery, and pre/post cardiac interventional procedures. Additionally, other critical care patients can be admitted to the unit.

Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU):
6-bed unit providing adult intensive nursing care, primarily for postoperative care of cardiac surgery patients. The unit accepts patients directly from the operating room.

F-Yellow (MED/SURG):
This 30-bed adult med/surg provides nursing care for general surgical needs in a variety of specialties including: surgical ENT, ophthalmology, oncology, and urology. The unit has a 12-bed step down unit to allow transition of care from the SICU.

I-Blue – Telemetry:
30-bed telemetry unit providing nursing care to cardiology,pre/post cardiac surgery,pre/post cardiac interventional procedures, and general medicine patients. The unit includes a 4-bed progressive care unit and designated beds for stable post-surgical open heart patients.
